I've seen a smattering of comment about refurb'ed MBs on these forums and the 8KHA+ in particular. I'm asking for ppl's own experience w/ these Newegg boards. Do they arrive in pretty good shape? Do they seem to O/C ok?. I know it's a crapshoot where the board may be DOA or have a real problem vs RMA'ed for a trivial reason. Newegg is supposed to be good about returns, but I would be out the return shipping costs if I had to RMA, but otherwise I could try another refurb board or apply the credit to the retail board. At $79 + no shipping vs $105 + $7 shipping (about 40% cheaper) this "gamble" is very tempting!

I bought a new one, but my bro ordered a refurb. I can relay his experiences when he gets it.

A refurbed 8KHA+ has a chance to be returned b/c of user-error, bad bios, or bad other. In the instance of the first two, I think its a pretty safe bet. If its a bad bios, they probably just pop-out the K bios and replace with a N+ bios. If they have to repair anything else, could be a bit riskier. Not sure what their policy on refurbed items is, but on a new board they will pay the cost of shipping (credit to your account) up to $10 and replace it no questions asked.

No luck with 2 of them for me (one a 'K', the other N+).

At your own risk, caveat emptor, all that good stuff :D
