my ultimate system would start with a MB running 10GHz with all components made by the same company as the MB/CPU maker (or other omnipitent authority) so as to guarantee complete and utter compatability...the system would run on voice command flawlessly...the monitor would be a pair of glasses that would beam the perfect 3d images directly to my retinas...the sound would be provided by sensors connected directly with my aural nerves...of course my chair would be mounted on a full motion similator tripod, with subwoofer seat cushions, enclosed in a tempature controlled sphere...the pc would boot in 3 seconds upon my entering the room, and read me my email as commanded... all appliances and electronics could be controlled and programmed from the computer and networked with encrypted wireless technology...probably there would still be a floppy though...and that is where my dream suddenly vanishes...

A dual processor Apple G4 with CPU's running at 1.5ghz, 1gig of RAM, ATTO RAID SCSI controller with 4 70gig Seagates with 16mb cache and 15,000rpm. The GeForce3 with 64 mb would be nice and those really cool looking Apple flat screen Trinitron monitors (21 inch with the transparent back).
