I want to get an Ikea Gallant corner desk. Goes for about $300 though, which is why I can't afford it right now. Very modular so you can add or not add any shelves you feel like.

My parents had one of those corner desks. They are such a PITA to use. You can't sit close enough to it, there is no desk space and if your monitor is at least a 22" it won't fit on the desk.

It doesn't look particularly hideous in here, it just keeps everything at a bad angle, if that makes sense.

Either way, it's time for it to go. As soon as my Costco Novaform mattress gets delivered, I'm going out shopping.

I had a larger desk with a return and a hutch for a long time. pic I really liked it, but the location of the PC tower was kind of a hassle for someone that like to tinker with his computer and peripherals a lot.

When I bought my house, the room for my office didn't fit it properly, so it had to go. It had become really worn anyway. Now I have a similar setup with an L-shaped desk and a hutch. This hutch has way more shelving though, so it make storage easier.

I have an EQ3 desk that I bought years ago and I just never saw much of a reason to change. I think EQ3 makes decent furniture, but it tends to be fairly contemporary in style.

Personally, for a desk I just like a big surface with almost nothing underneath. No keyboard trays (hate those), no drawers (I have file cabinets), etc. Basically, just a nice table.

Here is a picture of it. Dog not included.
