So I just built my new C2D rig (in sig) and proceeded to re-download HL2:Lost Coast off Steam for benchmarking purposes. Before it began, I got a pop-up Window telling me two things:

"Your Computer is not fast enough to play this game", and "Your Video Card doesn't support HDR".

It then provided me with some links to Amazon.com to shop for 'new' parts.

Apparently I need to 'upgrade' my PC with a P4 3.2GHz and a 6800GT.

:laugh:

They really need to update this thing. This is not 2004 anymore.




 
I got that, and was still able to play. Why bother fixing something that's free and is just a tech demo that works fine after that message?

It is amusing. It told me that I needed a 3.0GHz CPU, when I have a 2.8GHz C2D. It didn't complain about HDR, though.
