your best childhood story/adventure

my favorite was in 1993 and iwas in 3rd grade. we lived in a house in davenport, iowa, righr next to the mississippi. during the flooding the entire neighborhood went underwater excpet my house (We were on a hill). so my friend peter and i got a raft out and a couple oars and rafted through my neighboorhood. eventually we got bored so we went with the current, and it pulled us all the way into downtown. we were just floating next to buildings on a raft. i will never forget how much fun it was
