*Please list TWO songs - one with real instruments and NO electronic additions (subsequent processing is OK), and one WITH electronic additions (i.e. any type of electronic music)*

William Orbit-Ravel's Pavane Pour Une Infante Défunte (Ferry Corsten Remix)

(I'm a trance lover, so I could totally take over this thread.....😛)

SRV - Little Wing

I think he means instrumental. 😛

And for non-orchestral/soundtrack stuff, I'd have to agree with Orion or Green Onions.

Rock - Wishbone Ash - "The Spirit Flies Free" - Nouveau Calls
(honorable mention: Satriani, SRV's "Little Wing", though I prefer Concrete Blonde's w/vocals)

Classical - Vivaldi - Works for Italian Lute - Jakob Lindberg (BIS -CD-290)
(honorable mention: Sharon Isbin's Bach CD)

Celtic - Turlough O'Carolan planxties - Joemy Wilson (Carolan's Cup, Carolan's Cottege CDs)

How could my absolute favorite include 2 songs? 😕

Anyway, following the OP's instructions, I would say West End Blues by Louis Armstrong and His Hot Five and YYZ by Rush.

Most of my songs are hit or miss, if you're into the genre, then you'll like it. I suggest you grab the original by William Orbit, or the ORIGINAL by Maurice Ravel (1899).

I saw the Dave Brubeck quartet play at the Hult Center in Eugene, OR on August 7th. Awesome. Just awesome. Of course they played Take Five. The master at work. The old guy may be 83 years old but he's still got it. No arthritis in those fingers let me tell ya...
