anyway, the 9600p/xt is the minimum card with the full DX9 set of features and can be has ~$100 'on sale' . . . check Hot Deals.

If you get a used card, i'd suggest the 9700p/9800p.

Right now, I'd probably push your budget a bit over $100 and get either the Radeon 9800np 128MB or Radeon 9600XT 128MB.

However, if you can wait a bit, Geforce 6600 AGP cards will start popping up in the $100-150 price range.
 
Just picked up a Gigabyte GeForce FX 5700LE Turbo Force Edition for $95. I know, it's a 5700LE, but it comes clocked at 400/500 out of the box(compared to 250/400 for standard 5700LE) and I have it running at 425/550(full 5700 speed) with no sweat. Runs Far Cry, Doom 3 and Half Life 2 on my Athlon 2600+ just fine.
