When I look at this next group of young people, I shudder. At the ripe age of 29, I interact with 18-22 year olds on a daily basis. It's all "like" this and "dude" that. They show no respect for me and other elders. When I give them information sessions, they go to sleep, or roll their eyes.

My generation never displayed this type of behavior! We're all in for a world of hurt when they take over the country 🙁

How is a 29 year old an elder? You earn respect, you dont get it based on a position or age. How are young people of today any different from Hippies or skin heads, or the flower power crowds? It is very hard to tell someone they are doing something bad or wrong, and people do not like being lectured. This is similar to telling people they are fat and then telling them to lose weight. Name calling gets you nowhere. Every generation has their slang. Maybe you are a square?

I think all the intelligent people are probably in school somewhere at that age. Maybe you are hanging out with too many losers.

What is with all of the crotchety old man threads lately? It's not like the baby-boomers have a leg to stand on in critiquing any generation after the mess they left everyone in.
