Quick tips:

* Once the drive powers up, then plug in the USB cable
* Hard drive with existing data should be recognize immediately
* New hard drive must be formatted and partitioned
* Format new drive under XP: Go to Control Panel > Computer Management > Disc Management - Under "Disc 1", Right Click and Initialize. After initializing, Right Click and Format and format wizard will appear. Please follow the wizard instruction to format drive.
