It looked like he was smiling at first when talking to Santana, then Santana started yelling at him - maybe Santana didn't understand what Youk was saying, or maybe he was just trying to light a fire for the hapless Mets.

Not a Sox fan, but Youk is an awesome player.

If you're going to pick on Youkilis for something, that's a pretty damn poor example. Sure he said something to Santana, but it looks like whatever Santana said to him afterward really escalated the situation.

Youkilis definitely isn't a sissy. He's an emotional guy who goes over the top frequently, as exampled by his millions of mini tirades in the dugout after making outs in non-critical situations. That being said, he also hits the living crap out of the ball.

yeah i think youk was just like, "damn dude, that fuckin' hurt!" - not particularly talking to santana. he didn't have that angry youk expression - like he usually has when he grounds out...

santana overreacted but then again, he went ahead and dominated...so it's all good
