people in china are crazy over soccer (and ping-pong, but thats another thread)

i mean, they are CRAZY over soccer. ud think they be good. but alas...
 
whats with the complaining. france would probably have had a chance if zidane kept his cool and caused the whole team to freak out

And every American kid under the age of 10 goes to bed with a soccer ball. It doesn't change the fact that high level coaching and player development blows in this country and that the domestic league doesn't have the "sex appeal" of the NFL, NBA, MLB, etc...

I don't understand why people say this. The French were playing great a man down without Zidane. They still controlled the ball on the offensive side of the field for pretty much the rest of the match. I think people are always just looking for some sort of psychological reason why a team lost instead of just admitting that the other team won.

i was rooting for the italian divers 😛
but you cant deny that if zidane was in the PK shootout they probably might have had a better chance. without your captain star player, your team is at a psychological disadvantage in a PK shootout which is more mental than physical
