Noticed my fans were running all the time lately, odd, I know they run but I usually can't hear it unless I'm doing something fairly intensive. Well right now, and recently, I'm not.

I'm used to the fans running at a constant 1700-1800rpm all the time but lately (the past week maybe) it hasn't gone below 3000. Its not loud, but its definitely noticeable.

Temps in iStat show (C);
HD: 33
CPU A: 61
Airport: 75
Enclosure Base: 31
Heatsink A: 58
Heatsink B: 59
Mem Bank A1: 52
Northbridge: 55

I know the airport can run hot, but 75C seems way up there. Any idea what's going on here? My macbook is up on a Rain Design M-Stand, ambient temp in the room is around 73F. Not doing anything network intensive, in fact, just browsing the web a bit.

Well, as an idea of how accurate I consider most readings (beyond the CPU) to be, my iStat shows my Heatsink A at -128C and my heatsink B at +93C.

Mine usually runs in the upper 50s Celcius (when I actually take the time to look). But it may have run hot for a while - which might explain why a Genius at my local Apple store had to replace it. Thank goodness my computer is still under warranty.

This is a good reminder to me to trend the temp. of my airport card in the future.
