I gave up and deleted the demo after the damn elephants kicked my ass, repeatedly. I used to kick Mega Man's ass on the original Game Boy. I had 1 and 2.

You're just not being patient enough on the elephants. They kicked my ass the first few times I played, but now I breeze right through them.

Hilarity. It is hard, but not significantly harder than the original Megamans on NES.

Games have become increasingly easier over the years to cater to the mass market (your average middle school through college male playing Halo).

Still stuck on the 2nd Wily stage, but I haven't played it in a few days.

Besides that stage Tornado Man's stage had to be the hardest so far.

Yea, Tornado Man's stage was designed by the devil. Old school design and difficulty..I love it! Some bosses are pretty easy too except for Concrete Man who doesn't seem to have a set pattern but its all good. I'm going through the bosses with just the mega buster too. Not sure why but the weapons you get from the bosses don't seem so great anyways. Now I just have to do the Wily stages and I'm done.

Same. I find that $60 for a game that I can beat in one good sitting is too much.

I like how the gaming nerds hang on to insane difficulty as their right of passage. Guess what? Lots of people have figured out that it's just not fun struggling with something that's supposed to be fun.

Quick question: what's the best way to avoid the bouncing ball ? over or under? Trial and error isn't working for me.

Under. Just run straight at it when you get in to the screen and it will go over you. Pop some shots in to the elephant and jump over it when it comes back. Then stand close enough so it goes over you again. Should take 3 times at most.

On the next, jump on to the middle platform when the ball rolls towards you, jump over it on the way back and stay in the middle and repeat. The rest of that stage is pretty simple.

It's not insane difficulty. It's a challenge. Games these days aren't challenging. They are still good and engrossing, but not challenging.

Splash Woman and Galaxy Man are the only ones I can beat with the Mega Buster.

Might be a spoiler so don't read if you don't want to know...

A good way to beat the elephants is with Plug Man's weapon. Takes them out pretty quick.

No, it is insane difficulty. The challenge is in memorizing everything about the level, which takes lots and lots and lots of deaths.

The whole retro gaming phenomenon has completely escaped me. These old games are crazy and I don't see how playing the same thing over and over again forever is fun.

Beat this over the weekend. It was fun, but I prefer less frustrating games. Games like this you basically have to keep dying over and over while you learn the levels, it gets lame and boring after a while.

That elephant owned me too... and I could beat Megaman (on the NES) with ease .
