i have a gmail account as my contact email for my youtube account. i just don't want to link the two. why does it matter to google? why can't it just be a "premium" service - if you do link a google account, then you'll get extra features?

It matters to them because YouTube is widely used, and if every YouTube user HAD to have a GMail account, they would pull in ridiculous revenue through their AdSense program. Pretty easy way to make more money so they can offer you FREE CONTENT.

1 for for general crap
1 for anything on-line food related (campusfood,...)
1 for gaming/tech forums
1 specifically for wow forums
1 specifically for wow guild related shit
1 for EJ - they provided that one
1 with my actual name which i used on resumes before i got a fastmail accnt
1 i created simply so i could have more invites way back when
