I actually miss my N1 since I've gone back to the Droid but it was mostly due to T-Mo's weak network. I'm hoping I can buy an N1 for VZW without having to sign a contract. The difference in screens between the two is pretty noticeable I thought.

I'm still waiting a bit, first to allow Cyanogen ROMs for the N1 to mature, and maybe till a Gen II of the device appears.

hmm the Nexus One is clearly the brightest and sharpest picture, but I like the Droid's color production better. And surprisingly, although its smaller and lower resolution, I really like the Samsung Galaxy's picture.

I've heard OLED is pretty miserable in direct sunlight, anyone care to comment?

Yea, its rough. I don't really use the phone in direct sunlight though, so not a game changer for me. Honestly, in my experience my phones are pretty nasty in direct sunlight, so those being a little worse doesn't make a difference as none of the phones work well.

Someone did a test showing that out of the major Android devices, the Droid screen is the most accurate to reproduce all colors, except black it's a bit off there. The N1 over saturated it's colors, but was more accurate on blacks.

Regardless, the resolution on the Droid still amazes me to this day, after two months of ownership.

in direct sunlight you need to increase the brightness of the N1 and it is quite easy to see.

Right. Full brightness in direct sunlight is no problem for me. At the cost of battery life though.

yes it will eat up battery life. if you live in the sahara, look elsewhere for a phone.

but if you aren't using the screen a ton in direct sunlight, it should do you fine.
