You think this is a video driver problem.

I just got my Asus V8200 Geforce3 Deluxe and it rocks. 2D is very sharp and FSAA 4X is incredible. BUT, if I do a Quake3 timedemo right after bootup I will get a score of 78fps @ 10x7x32 all settings wide open. Then without changing anything I will run another one and get 130fps. I don't enev exit the game. I can run them all day long after the initial timedemo and get around 130fps. What is the deal with the first one. I'm using 12.90 drivers. I'm going to test the asus drivers tonight. They use 12.10's :frown:. I'll loose several hundred 3dmark pts. but if it fixes the problem I guess I do not have a choice. It does not seem to happen in 3dmark's just in Quake3. Maybe Opengl problem?

I would really like to know if this is a problem with the drivers, the G3 card, or just my system.
