So with people waiting for the intel price cuts, and the insuing need for RAM, do you think ddr2 prices will go up?

I think the prices will remail at these levels until DDR3 becomes more standardized.

No, I think they will either stagnate or very slightly drop, slowly. Most fabs have changed over to DDR2 now and the market is flooded with RAM. Prices will go down for a while as everyone competes to outdo each other, before DDR3 starts to take hold (I give it six months) and manufacturers start moving over to that.

2gb? for $160 I am getting 4gb. RAM prices have had the insane drop. Now why can't gas do this.

We won't see DDR3 standardized for a while, not until Dell starts using it. ;)

They'll stay either the same, or slightly rise over the summer period, and then drop off a little again towards winter IMO

I am considering buying a few gigs now because the price is cheap. I am going to revamp my system when Intel drops their prices in july.

It is not a horrible idea, especially if you are buying 667mhz. If you do end up over-paying, it can't be by too much.
