It all depends on how much it evolves with the changing times. If 20 years from now text-based forums are considered extremely out-dated then anandtech will slowly die.

I think we won't be using web forum 20 years from now. there could be other better internet interactive tools that enable us to exchange ideas / opinions.

I think anandtech.com will stay as long as anand is willing to run it. If this site is already profitable, why not ?
