What do kids in Sunny CA get ?... time out in the sun during lunchbreak ?

Kids in the Central Valley sometimes get foggy day schedules (anywhere from a 2 hour bus delay to a cancelled school day).

You can't really be dumb enough to believe that snow days are just freebies. The school year is set at x number of days. Snowbelt schools build a few snow days into the schedule, if they're unused the year ends earlier, if more are used the schedule is extended. Northern kids and southern kids are spending the same amount of time in class, it's just that the northern kids are getting more days off in January and February and the warm weather kids are getting them in June.

Not necessarily. There are more typically two hour delays, which gives you two hours extra sleep = teh win.

Most school districts in the North East have an alottment of snow days. It's usually something like 3 or 4. After that it starts to extend into the summer, but that hardly ever happens because administration doesn't like to call snow days that they can't afford.

After a certain number of 2 hour delays, they will tack on extra days as well. In Ohio, schools typically have 5 more days scheduled than the required minimum number of school days. If the total time of both snow days and delays is 5 days or less, no additional days are added to the school year (note: school does NOT end early if these days are not used). If the total time of the delays and snow/fog days is over 5 days, extra days are added either during the school year (i.e. the removal of teacher work days) or they are tacked onto the end of the year.

i know... i sat right behind her. I've seen her there a few times. She talks on her cell phone for half the game. Normally i don't pay much a attention to her (not a big fan of dark angel), but i was looking her way when she sat down and... boom... butt floss on parade!! For some reason i kept looking her way the rest of the game. 😉

they were jeans... blue? her hair was in a pony tail, sort of messy. Her hair was dyed blonde. She showed up with a different guy than she was there with last time but talked with another guy on her right when she wasn't on her cell phone. She has tatoos on the back of her neck, lower back, and on her hand/wrist. That's all i remember. I was trying to watch the game but couldn't get the butt shot out of my brain! I think I became a fan of hers that night.

She sits next to the guy from westwood one who always stands and claps with his program. I was sitting one row behind her behind the bench. i had a straight shot of her all game. I was sitting next to a dude named phil ivie (i guess he's a poker player).

not everywhere private schools don't have to have the 180 days. For instance a private school near me has 158 days of school. Plus it doesnt make up snow days. So they are getting 151 days of school and are still getting off june 4th. Mean while the public school kids are going to mid june 🙂

So they are paying for school and not getting any reimbursement for those extra days lost... what a waste of money.
