either on his outfit or accessories. What is your reaction?

* Boo hitler!
* Swastika is an ancient symbol considered sacred and auspicious in several non-western cultures.

Lol. Sorry, should have mentioned we had someone join from India who has a swastika "raakhi" (like a wrist band). We were wondering how people would react to it. I'm Indian btw.

Definitely cultural appropriation. Even though I'm not a neo Nazi, I'd demand he remove it on behalf of other neo Nazis.

In other words, I'd take offense on behalf of another group to which I don't belong.

I don't know about you guys, but when I see a swastika, I think "Womens' hockey."

Regardless of skin color, symbols, gender, footwear, sexual orientation, or tattoos, I always think the same thing when I see anyone: douche bag.

is it a black on white, in red circle, swastika? or is it the indian sun symbol? because they don't look identical.

still, even with the indian symbol, it would look weird, possibly if outside india and maybe in a rural region too; because, are you really ignorant of how much a swastika annoys people?

unless it's just hitler, and they are indian, in which case it's ok.

or maybe just some harmless nazi cosplay in china

or japan

but seriously, only we in "europe" are still attached to the significance of the symbol; good on the asians who have learned not to take it too seriously.
although, i do understand that they don't have to deal with the whole neo-nazi movement that has never really died out here.

Doesn't matter what their ethnicity is. If I were to see someone sporting a swastika (or any other provocative symbol, but it's hard to imagine one more provocative), I would ignore it, and very very likely ignore them if at all possible. People do things like that (and dress weirdly in general), in order to provoke reactions and they thrive off that because they don't like being ignored, or better said, unnoticed. So, they get what they deserve if I ignore them.

The people I'd like to meet don't do things like that.

No, douche bag is a pretty good starting point.

Like I said, ignorance.

The swastika has much more significant impact as a religious symbol for way longer than the Nazi adopted it. It's the culture you're brought up in, and that's all you know, hence ignorance.
