i'm upselling this optical mouse to this woman over the phone and i'm talking about how opticals don't foul up like ball mice do, and she asks, "which way would it go if i pushed it right but wanted to push it left?"

You know, that goes beyond not knowing about computers. I think even people that almost never use computers sould know they can't read your mind.

especially if they're in a corporate environment and have the ability to take down an entire network by opening an email with some stupid vb attachment.

I think it means 'reversed mouse', like when you move it right, the cursor actually moves left. I don't like to set my mouse to reverse.

LOL, I hear you, I spent a good 1/2 hour explaining to an increasing irrate small business owner why it was not a good idea for him to use the Admin logon while surfing the web.. "I'm in charge here why shouldn't I use the boss logon all the time?"
