My boss asked me how I liked the weather. When I lived outside KC and in NJ, we had thunderstorms worse than this a few times every summer and then we had the same in the winter except with snow. I don't find the rain to be that big a deal except for the idiot drivers here. As I was driving south on 680 through the Sunol grade, I was amazed to see the northbound lanes shut down at three places due to spinouts and trucks going off the road.

Swell in Santa Rosa? Where you goin'?

This swell has got to be not only raw along the N Cali coast but blown out as well. S Cali will clean up a bit conditionwise but risk of serious infection from the sewerage flowing into the ocean is a real problem.

I remember this last January - Wahiawa, Oahu Hi got 12 inches of rain overnight - even I waited a few days to surf.

Anyway, I loved the rain as kid, but it's no fun now. It was a nightmare yesterday because it wasn't just rainy, but also windy. Luckily, I didn't really have to go out today, so I'm in the comfort of a roof.

We now have had 6 - 8" of rain in the interior mountains of the Coast Range.. with this next batch of rain comming, I bet it will top out around 10 - 12".
