You need those rubber washers between the screws and motherboard right?

I am transfering my components to a new case and when I was about to install the motherboard I noticed I don't have any of those washers that go between the screws and the motherboard.

Don't I need these to prevent shorts or something. They came with my old case so I thought this was a standard thing?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

There are some other threads on this. Might find 'em with a search.

Basically, most of us don't use them. I never have, never had a problem either.

You're NOT supposed to use them. The motherboard has metal rings around the hole for grounding... Although they might be to prevent wear from the screw.. In any case, they were designed to be screwed in.

Ah! thanks for the replies everyone. I tried searching but I only got one post that didn't answer the question. I just searched again and found a relevant post so I must have botched something, sorry!

Thanks again for your help!
