Last summer almost this exact same thing happened to me. I was riding my bike on a bike path in a natural area near the river. There was a rattlesnake sitting on the bike path sunning itself. I didn't see it unitl the last minute and had to swerve to avoid hitting it. Then I chased it off the path so no one else would run it over.

If I almost stepped on a rattle snake I'd be like... "WTF is a rattle snake doing in the woods in Alaska?"

After that I'd kill it and make a cool belt out of it.
