You murdered someone. Spend 20 to life in jail, or cover it up and live w/your conscience?

Scenario 1:
Your coworker backstabbed you/set you up/put the blame on you. You protest and try to defend your innocence, but he gets away with it.

a few days later, you're working late at night and notice his car is still in the parking lot. You decide to take a screwdriver and carve some choice words on his hood. Before you can start, he catches you. An arguement starts. The anger boils over and you plunge the screwdriver into his chest, killing him. then it just dawned on you that you just committed murder. You look around, and the parking lot is deserted.

Call the cops to turn yourself in where you'll probably get Murder 2 (same as Murder 1, except no death penalty)?

or wipe your prints, and take his wallet/watch/valuables to make it look like a robbery?

Scenario2:
Lets says you were driving drunk. It's late at night. you ran a red light, and ran over someone in the crosswalk. You stop, get out, and the guy's not breathing.

There's noone else around (cars/people).

If caught, you're facing manslaughter and 8-15 yrs in jail.

Turn yourself in, or drive away like the wind?

With Scenario 1, I would call the cops and confess. I'd hope to get off with voluntary manslaughter. Out in five years.

No. 2, I would commit suicide.

I have taken the necessary moral and psyho!analytical steps to prevent such a thing from ever happening.

I would never let it get that far.

I would already realize that somehow, a parking lot cam, some old bat, or perhaps a soviet spy sattelite would be aroudn to fvk me over if I ever crossed the line.

I'd never be in either situation.

For #1, I'd never do something as petty as keying their car. Cut their brake line maybe, or kneecap them, but not something that juvenile.

For #2, I don't drive.

There's no chance I'd ever drive drunk, so that scenerio doesn't exist. As close as I could get would be just a normal accident, in which case I call the cops and stay there at the scene.

First one wouldn't happen either, at least not like you lay out. I either mean to kill someone or I don't. There is no 'loss of control'. Believe me, if there was my ex would be dead long ago. So if I killed him it would be out in the open, then I'd call the police and turn myself in.

Option 3 - frame JEDI for the deaths/murders, then have a good laugh when it shows him going to jail on the local news report.

So you have a right to be out late and drinking, endangering lives of the innocent and that person walking home has no business being out walking the same t

Neither of those two consequences apply to me. I do not drink, let alone drive drunk. Also, I do not vandalize other people's property, let alone get into arguments about it. As a concealed hangun permit holder, it is stupid for me to get into scuffles over something stupid like a problem at work - it just looks bad, especially if the cops get involved.

I do have a list of people though, that if I ever get a terminal illness and have nothing else to live for, I am going to personally make sure that they go before me.

have i touched his car yet b4 i killed him?

if not then wrap the body rent a limb shredder the next day
and take him out of the bait for chum, run some limbs thru it b4 returning and your good to go.

part 2

go home call the cops the next day when BAC is lower
leaveing the scene with injuries be out in less than 5

or detail the hell out of the car and never call.

either way you have to live with killing someone so shhhhhhhh.

I already do everything I can to avoid taking responsibility for my actions, so of course I would cover it up. And I'd opt for a dramatic shootout with police over going to prison for 20 years.

Never say a word about scenario 1. Scenario 2 I'd go home and wait to see who I've run over. If I've done the world a disservice, then I'd just off myself with a note.
Can't say for sure if that's what I'd actually do, hypotheticals in the case of murder are always hard to predict.

I'd take his wallet entirely for the financial benefit of obtaining whatever is in that wallet. He's already dead, no going back now, might as well make the most of it.

First I'd have to make sure he's dead. Sure he's not breathing now, but what if he comes together shortly after I leave? Perhaps he got a glimpse of my plate before I rammed his nuts into his stomach. I'd either find something sharp to lodge into the back of his brain or stuff him in the trunk and drive to the lake.

yeah, you wouldn't want him coming back to haunt you next year.

tough choice...but they are right. you have to live with it on your conscience no matter what...so why take the 20 years? :x
