you know you're an uber dork if you...

Have a good one man. Birthdays/Christmas go down hill by the time you hit nineteen or so. My 48yr. old father, who is very close to everyone in the family only got one gift from the relatives besides those living with him. He got a cheap $10 gift box of smoked sausage from his great aunt.

Sincerely thank everyone who remembered you ths year.

Well it was my 27th birthday and I only got 2 gifts ... my wife got me a Pioneer car unit (I had a thread about that) and my parents gave me $50. Other friends took me (and our other 2 Nov.13 birthday peoples) out to dinner. Gifts indeed stop after a while.. well maybe until you have kids...

Good thing, too. I've got way too much stuff cluttering my house already. If I want something, I'd get it myself--and, 99% of the time, I'd be able to get it a lot cheaper than anyone I know. (The exception is things like interesting antique books and curios, which can be found cheaply, but you can't just get them at WalMart.)

...so, what are you if 95% of your holiday greetings come from law firms, film studios, and labs?
