This thread is more about the power of the internet than it is about Nancy Pelosi, so I am posting it here...

Nancy Pelosi just published a book entitled, "Know Your Power". It's a "hoorah, yay girls" kind of book that is sold as a source of inspiration for girls of all ages. It is either the worst book ever written or there is a campaign to thoroughly trash it on some website.

Amazon Reviews Here

scroll down for the customer reviews. There are some real gems in there...

Probably just a campaign to trash the book since it was written by Pelosi.

Is it possible that it was written by Pelosi therefore it just sucks? Not everyone is going to be a #1 best seller.

You just agreed with Brain. Brain said people are trashing the book because it was written by Pelosi. You said that it sucks because it's written by Pelosi. If you had used a word other than therefore then maybe you'd have a point... but instead you go into partisan hackery. Nice.

I don't know about "most of them." A couple maybe. But then you have things like, "I don't have to read this book to know it's Nancy breathing hot air like the rest of the Democrats. They're the reason for Global Warming with all the filth they spew."

Yup, good stuff.

Ebaum's World must've gotten wind of that book, haha. I remember they trashed another book, I think it was the one Inspector Jihad mentioned.

They were pimping the book on The Daily Show earlier this week, as she was their guest for the interview portion. That's probably what spurred the surge of negative reviews.

(Not saying it was anything grand before that, just that the publicity spurred bored people to post reviews.

It just rang hollow to me. I was really hoping for a more compelling read from someone who holds such an important position in our government. After seeing her on The View the other day and liking her, I checked out her book from the library. I read it in a few hours - It didn't have much substance and left me wondering why she didn't put more thought or feeling into it if she was going to bother writing a book. Maybe it's because of the advice she was given by a colleague to keep conversations short... Subject - Question - Reaction, I believe was the advice she cites in the book. That's how the book reads, kind of like an advertising brochure. Not very satisfying at all.

How does that seem so trashy?

P.S. It's written by Pelosi about how women should be; what kind of reaction was she hoping for?

America doesn't like it when a stupid bitch encourages other females to be stupid, obtuse bitches.
