You know you bought a cheap case when.....

You change out the cheapo generic power supply with a solid unit, and the new power supply droops! 😱

Actually my daughter's droops about 2 or 3 degrees from added weight of an Antec 400W.

Man... I thought I was getting a bargain paying $25 for case, keyboard, mouse, and speakers.... 😉

Are you talking about the ledge inside the case that supports the PSU? But the 4 screws on the back of the case should make sure it won't droop anymore. Unless your screws are cheap as well

hehe...nope that's not it.
The sheet metal on this case is so flimsy that, when looking at the back, you can see where the upper screws are pulling the back panel inward.

Last year she wanted her computer upgraded for Christmas. We were quickly running out of money to spend, but a Directron e-mail prompted me to buy it for her. (She had a black monitor and a beige case, keyboard, etc..)

whoa, thats pretty messed up. I didnt think cases were made that cheaply

I bought a cheap sm case once . When I took out the power supply, the case folded in on itself... Threw it in the trash because it cost more to return it + the restocking fee.

I never buy cheap stuff anymore....

Jose

Yep that's in this case's future. It was kinda funny that when the mobo tray was removed it wobbled pretty bad. Actually it seems sturdy if it is completely assembled. Take a door off or anything else and it all changes!

yeah, well i like my case, except for the fact that my blue lcd light for my temp. display has already gone out. only been running for about 2 months.

my cheap case took such a beating being shipped from hawaii to alaska I ran it for a year with no side top or front panels cause they were all dentend and bent beyond repair, it was just an aluminum frame. 😛
massive airflow

[Title] ...it explodes.

a few years ago an old skool 200 watt PSU in a generic case from fry's exploded after 2yrs of operation. had to unplug it from afar. not worth your life to save a few bucks, but my friend's 500w generic case works fine (but its only been 1 month)
