You know you are old when its your body that snaps, crackles and pops every morning, not your cereal.

I'm at the age where my knee started hurting the other day, and I don't remember doing anything to cause it to hurt.

That happened to me a couple months ago. It has morphed a bunch of times. There's some stuff going on in that leg, that much I do know... but it's much much better now.

6 surgeries since I turned 52, (59 now) all gym/wear related. My ortho said something about working out. Told him if I do, I'll have injuries. If I don't I'll have illnesses. He can fix my injuries.
Going through the same thing. Severe knee pain at the tendon connection points. Runner/jumper's knee, despite not being a runner nor a jumper. Gotta work out to make it better, so I've invented a machine that adds hours on the day to account for this (and other) things I now have to do.

You guys should find an Okinawan style dojo in your area. You'll get a full body workout with some cardio and warm-ups that will get you as limber as your old ass can be. Most are pretty chill and accommodate older folks. If your doc will sign off on it.

My feet hurt every morning when I wake up, so I have to walk like I'm a 97 year old with bad hips to get to the bathroom for my 2 pees per night minimum.

If it isn't from past trauma or occupational hazard like being a cook or another profession where you are on your feet all day. It might be simply tight calves causing poor dorsiflexion. Seems common with us tall folk. You're like 6'3" right? I had issues with it when I was taking creatine. No matter how much water I drank they'd ball up after doing martial arts/combat sports for a bit. Was having the pain and gait issues. Started doing the stretches for it I found on youtube, plus stopped taking creatine after I learned about the tight calves. Went away in about a year.
