why would you do that? this gives them the chance to take it all away and steal your thunder. now the attention shifts to him and he's going to ramble on and you are just going to be staring at others' faces when in fact it was you who was telling that interesting story in the first place.

OP I know what you mean, there was this one time I made a thread about my atv and how it had this cool 350 cc motor and I jumped it off this sweet ramp and this jackass jumped in about how he had a better atv, and bigger ramp. And then I made a thread about jackasses that jump into thread making one ups from what I was boasting about, and these jackasses just kept coming into it and making jackass remarks, it was really jackassish. Yeah I made it up, thats my word, I have all rights to it, you need to pay me to use it, ever.
