Don't call me braindead folks, I knew this along time ago, but it bears rementioning--

If you make a threat of any kind, or say anything about what you will do to anyone, even if you just said it in a fit of rage, you are held liable to that comment for pretty much the rest of your life.

People take each other's words way too damn seriously. And we judge one another way too damn seriously. Ex: If you talk about how much you dislike someone, and it becomes public knowledge that you dislike them, and later something bad happens to them, you are the first to be blamed, and perhaps prosecuted depending on the situation.



PS: By the way, if you flame me in this thread, I'll kill you.

While I agree it is unfortunate, you also have to think of the opposite- what if people were never held responsible for what they said? The world is much better off doing what we do now as opposed to that.

Agreed, and it is almost a "blue moon" occurrence when someone is tried on motive/something they said alone, if it EVER happens.

luckily thats how our justice system works. usually the final result is that people cant be tried on something that they say alone.

now.. unfortunately society doesnt work that way.. people are considered guilty for someone elses misfortunes, if they dislike that person.

socially, they will be blacklisted.
