Those STUPID air stations they have now days at gas stations.

I've been driving around with low tire pressure for quite awhile now because every time I go to fill up my tires, all I can find are these stupid things.

Oh sure, air comes OUT, but it will NOT go into my valves. (well I suppose it does to SOME extent. But I swear it would take a HOUR to fill one tire to the proper pressure, at fifty cents for, WHAT 30 seconds of air.

) Every time I try one, MOST of the air escapes around the valve instead of going into the tire!

What ever happened to SERVICE STATIONS? It seems all there are now days are GAS STATIONS with these crummy air machines!

End of RANT....
 
most stations here give you free air if you get some gas, i've got free air before without getting gas also if you just ask them to turn it on.
 
you have to push the hose on pretty hard in order to push in the little pin on the stem of the hose. I never have any problems getting my tires filled. You suck at life*

DUDE I not only have worked as a auto Mech. off and on. I ALSO used to work at several different places installing tires. I NOW work in a bicycle shop and still have extensive daily experience with air chucks. I know QUITE well how to fill a tire! 😉

These things just SUCK!!!
 
yeah i just hate places that want to charge you $.50 to use them. i used one at a local BP and it didnt work! the cashier refused to give me change.

 
In California at least, they provide air and water for free. Its the law. 🙂

I find that stations like Chevron and Shell have much better air and water stations then places like Arco or smaller local places.

Being racially profiled. I got off work, on the way I stopped by to get some cantonese style noodles and met up with my friends in front of Pizza shop. So we're outside, friends: with pizza slices in hand, myself with the chopsticks slurping my noodles. Some guy walks accross us... and asks "Hey your in front of an Italian Pizza shop, why in the hell are you eating chinese food?" I replied, "I'm half Mongolian :| "

Guy walks off, kind of feeling retarded for asking such a dumb question and hollers back, "Well..Merry Christmas 🙂 "

/The audacity.... true story... (and the Half Mongolian part.. well is partly true, since Turks are ancestors of the Mongols north of China 🙂 )
