The shift differential. While the differential is fantastic while you work the shift, it makes taking a new job rather difficult as you more often then not will take a pay cut. Ahhh, what a double edged sword that is.
 
I think what you're saying is that when you go from working nights to working days, your pay generally goes down, but I'm not sure.

Started working midnights 3 weeks ago after working days for 16 years.

I had a lot of apprehension, but it's funny I've been getting plenty of sleep.

And, getting $3.10 more an hour is nice.

Like a six day pay with only working five.
 
I'm to light of a sleeper, the normal noises that happen during the day would make it tough for me to sleep.
