1) attended a co-worker's a house party
2) met some people from different background
3) chat with them and discuss a variety of topics from AMD CPUs, K-series engines, hacking neighbor's bandwidth, So Cal microbreweries, which car has better gas mileage, to nice expensive restaurants in LA.
4) all of which I learned (or at least got notes) from ATOT.
5) I feel great.

who say ATOT make us in-socialable? ATOT has plenty of experts on a wide array of topics, and each of us contribute a bit of knowledge to this forum. In a way, this is a huge classroom on all subjects.

another perk, I don't even need to read the news... people will post news here: from breaking news to minor hollywood gossips. A girl i met from a dinner is a huge Matrix fan, and she was the only one who wasn't surprised when I said, "Hey, you guys know one of the Wachowski brothers had a sex change?" +1 for me 🙂

urrr... it was an impromptu party, so we brought what ever we have. There were Sierra Nevada, Bud Light, Tsing Tao, red wines; someone even brought Everclear... and but nobody wanted to even touch it.
