You know those "do not eat" packets of stuff you find in shirt pockets?

I just found one at the bottom of a can of wasabi peas. It says both "do not eat" and "do not microwave". Near the bottom of the can it says "product of Thailand" - which might explain why there is a packet of non-edible stuff mixed in with my food.

Is something bad going to happen to me now?

It says "oxygen absorber". I wasn't aware that wasabi peas reacted with oxygen and had to be protected from it.

Nope, it's just there to suck up the moisture in the can so the powder doesn't clump. Don't worry about it... leave it in there.

Edit:

Oh, it's one of the oxygen packs... those prolong shelf life. Leave it in there.

That would have been relevant in your first post ;)

It absorbs moisture. There was a packet in with the last hard drive I got.
