You know that bus kidnapping?

I'm sure this story was posted before, but I just found out this morning that it was national news and all. That bus that was kidnapped happened really close to me. It had kids on it that used to go to my school! It was headed to Berks Christian Acadamy or one of the catholic schools in my county, thats really scary that kids from my school district were involved....

Driver is currently undergoing psychiatric evaluation
He was like 61 years of age

The bus driver's name is Otto. I'm not joking.

LOL I don't think Otto had any malice (about the kids anyway). He's obviously got some psychiatric disorder though, such that he thought it would be OK to just take a school bus full of kids on an unscheduled field trip to DC.

Even the kids said they didn't think the guy was going to harm them in any way. He's just loony.

Hmmm. And I suspect someone is going to question how this "loony"obtained a CDL liscence to drive a school bus, Or does anyone in your DMV or school district do any background investigation to determine sanity of the people they hire to intrust the care and welfare of thier children in route to and from school in their care?

That someone is me, and I don't even live there.:Q

Don?t know, but he's probably been a bus driver for many years and is unfortunately starting to get sick in the mind only recently.

Read in the news that he's only been driving a bus for a year or so after he moved into the area.

My bad! But if he has no prior history of mental illness, then there's nothing even the most complete background check would have found.

Really, I'm just glad the kids are OK, and that he didn't really even scare them, let alone threaten them.
