i consistently get over 130kb/sec download. my connection's download maxes out at around 150kb/sec. just make sure you open up the ports if you are behind a router/firewall. i use "burst!"

I consistently get the shaft, anywhere from 0KB/s to maybe 20KB/s. My connection is good for some over 200KB/s. I consistently upload at around 30 KB/s (I don't normally cap it). I will try forwarding those ports when I get home tonight. How does it work if the ports aren't forwarded? What's the technicaly explanation for this? And what's burst?

before I opened the ports I got below 20kb/sec as well. I think without the ports opened, you make connections out for download and I guess that's not the primary way
burst! is a bittorrent client. It works very well. The speed cap actually works.
