the homeless people won't even leave the shade to pan-handle.

despite the heat, it was nice to be able to get to work without being harrassed by homeless people for money because I'm white.
 
People have to be hospitalized for walking on the pavement, barefoot.

(it really happens here, pretty frequently too)

I'm genuinely curious. What does the fact that you are white have to do with getting asked for money. Do they not ask black people?
 
ya, just about this time here in SA, you only see homeless folks around at night. Even then, it's still about 90 degrees.

pretty much.

my coworkers and I were talking about it the other day... the homeless guys never ask the black and hispanic guys that work in the office for money, but the white guys always get asked.
