Seriously. That last 17-year old fat girl that song awfully tonight was just setup to fail. And there was mommy comforting her self-delusional daughter when she should have nipped this in the bud instead and told her that she can't sing and that her hips are so wide that she clips both sides of door frames.

Granted, AI would lose many humoress moments if this were to happen but I actually had a tinge of feeling bad for the girl while I was chuckling at her humiliation.

The part of that show that turns me off is now there are people that go on and intentionally make jackasses of themselves in an attempt to be the next William Hung. They ruined the only part about the show I liked, the first couple where all the crappy ones go on.

Agreed. And every one of these idiots is nowhere near as likeable as William Hung; they're simply horrible and boring all the way through. Enough said.

There were a few kids this year that tried the whole metal thing. I was embarassed since most of the bands I like are metal bands.

As long as simon continues to feed interesting and funny remarks to its contestants, the show will continue to let more crap slide.
