One of the peer review conclusions of the neurological study of the conservative brain is that conservatives vs liberals exceed in low level thinking. Again, the amygdala is implicated in the sense that uncertainty equates to fear and fear avoidance in easily frightened people becomes amplified. They demand certainty and simplistic thinking is the only way to achieve it in the real world where complexity reigns. The idea that you could arrest people instead of shoot them gas them or abduct them is an idea far to complex for them to grasp. So if you are confused it's because they beat you to it. They protect themselves from the terror of their own confusion behind certainty built on low level thinking. Liberals commonly refer to this not for what it really is, IQ devoted to rationalizing instead of logic, but as simple stupidity. It is, however, somewhat challenging to see people can be that nuts.
