I would advance farming methods, thereby solving the problem of world hunger preemptively. I would also introduce condoms to Hitler/bin Laden/other villain's great^12 grandparents.

Would we be coming back to our native time after making changes or are we stuck in that time for the rest of our lives?

500 years ago the new world was already discovered, and they were just starting to plunder it. 1492 anyone? That was 514 years ago.

I don't know how I'd influence the world, but I'd be freakishly big for that time. People were much smaller. At my size, even 50 years ago I'd have easily been a shoe in for one pro sport or another. I'm above average for current population but not a seven footer by a long shot.

I'd probably kill lots of people too. 500 years ago that was a good way to get noticed, and people understand killing better than talking anyways.
