Greatest thing is their damnable service. Oh, needed to have a shirt pressed and cleaned with some pants before 9:30pm? Oh, it is 10:45 -- no worries -- we will have it done, and since your bags took so long (3 minutes) it is free. I love how they gave me an upgrade for cheap, offered me the same room from 5 days ago, and even held a bag at their hotel for 7 days. I'm loving it. F the 4 Seasons and the Ritz -- the prices are even more than LM, and way more assholish.

The porn is spectacular -- got some 70's and early 80's thrown in for the vintage effect as well.

Well, their mini-bar and room service here are a goddamn ripoff. Milan is WAY more expensive that Stuttgart, and their Room Service and sh!t is cheaper. Simply due to this hotel only being renovated one year ago, so they are in rape mode. Cheapest place by far so far was a Dorint Sofitel -- goddamn 6 room Executive Suite for a 30 dollar upgrade fee! I flirted with the Austrian girl, and she upgraded me for half the normal upgrade rate -- they'd had a cancellation.

I stayed at Le Meridian in Montreal years ago, they had an underground mall and everything, very topnotch.

The burger place is hidden off the lobby and is a damn dump. It's so out of character it's awesome. Unfortunately, they've been playing it up in the press a lot and it's a lot more crowded than a few years ago...my boss clued me in to it when I moved here.
 
I don't have much experience in it, but my brother gets some kind of comp in Atlantis that gets him free anything on the resort, including whoever he is bringing (no matter the size of the party so far)..

he has even forgotten to turn in his mini-bar key and they don't charge him.

Honestly, this reminds me of Oktoberfest. So infested with idiots now that the Bier Fest in Stuttgart was way better. It seems that any good thing will always be found out, and you have to protect it. I'm sure this hotel will start being the premier hotel in Stuttgart, their rates will rise, and then their service will suffer. I stayed at the "supposed" best Hotel that Stuttgart has (Graf Zeppelin and paid for by Mercedes) and it blew compared to Le Meridien. I've found the best places are ones you stumble upon or that a friend or someone tells you about. Once a place gets talked about on the news, in tour guides, or even well-known it starts to suffer -- and badly. Same thing has happened to many of the bars we used to frequent in Bham or otherwise. Fame tends to kill a lot more places than it helps.

I'm drinking some Austrian Bier right now, but unforunately I'm on my way home. It is 2AM here, and I'm about to get some rest -- 12PM flight tommorrow, but will be hard to re-adjust to the US time.

You still need to get your ass down here. 😛

I know 🙁 I need to go on a Shmabbles/Mill tour of 'Bama but I'm buying a place right now so money is tight. That and I have no vacation left.

Maybe next year though, or you and Skoorbie could do a roadtrip! 🙂
