If you had to lose a right, which one would you rather lose?

Edit: If you give up the right to bear arms, assume that any gun you have will have to be turned in, and will magically disappear if you don't.

The right to bear arms. Its much better to not have a gun then you not have a gun and anything else.

Why is it only the right to bear arms? I dont think its correct to single out one right.

Unless you live in Camden or something I don't see how you could prefer to lose the right to vote over the right to own a gun

If I lose the right to bear arms, I can just vote to have it back.

or...

If I lose the right to vote, I can use my gun to get it back.

Decisions, decisions...

well... you know I'm not sure.

but for loners.... I'd say um, the freedom of assembly.

anyway, I'd probably give up the right to own a gun.

i mean if all hell brakes out, then we're using mind powers, you know what I mean? not really, but you better hope that Area 51 is alongside your home if you expect the safe haven of the Independence Day movie.

losing the ownership of a gun. that's it. bye

I'd rather lose the right to bear arms. I support it, but when it comes down to it, guns don't interest me and I don't own any, so it would affect me less.

People need to never forget it was guns that won you the right to vote.

I would not choose. Neither is acceptable.

I voted for the 2004 presidential election. I also voted for the 2006 elections. I failed to vote for the 2005 CA special elections although I felt quite strongly about some issues. It was my fault for not getting an absentee ballot in time. I think I should just be a regular absentee because its pointless for me to drive 1 hr home just to vote. Even if I lived at home I don't think I would ever vote in person either because lines = suck.

BTW to the people who feel so strongly about the right to bear arms. The right to bear arms is not a signature trait of democracy. The right to vote is. If you feel so strongly about the right to bear arms that you're willing to forget that a democracy is what we live in, then that's sad.

No, the right to bear arms is one way we make sure that we still do have a right to free elections.

We lose the right to vote, we get out our guns, we get back our right to vote. Problem solved.

I'd give up my right to vote. Why? Because if the government sucked I could just join a revolution and fight them with the gun I still have left.

At this point, I don't really have a need for either of those rights. In a couple years, I definitely would want my right to vote. I couldn't care less about bearing arms.

I'll vote out of office and/or shoot anyone who tries to take either away from me.

Well I don't have the right to bear arms, but then again, voting is pretty pointless, since our political system in the UK is messed up.

I agree with option 2.

Vote from the rooftops!
