I was sick all last week and didn't drink any caffeine. I'm now in a weird position. I'm getting caffeine withdrawals, but drinking soda or coffee makes me nauseous now.

I'll drink a few (as in literally three or less) creamosas over the course of the summer but coffee is out of the question, any time. I guess that means I have to give up soda :(

I could easily give up coffee. I've probably had less than one cup in my entire life.

Diet Pepsi however.......from my cold dead hands.

Yep, maybe one cup, ish. Coffee sucks. Pepsi FTW...

I drink Coffee everyday and Pop every 4-5 days and even then I would give up Coffee first. Pop has far greater variety and is a treat, Coffee has variety, but is more a pick me up.

I don't drink soda because it is disgusting. maybe....once/month?

this is easy.

and I could give up coffee, too. I've only really been drinking for the last ~2.5 years. before that, near complete and total abstinence (exactly once/year)

Man.....I gotta say I'm surprised the poll's so close.

That said.......I wonder if the morning will net coffee-weighted results. ;) People coming to the instant realization that their morning without coffee would be like walking blindfolded thru a mine field!!

ROTFLMAO!!!

If I had a fountain coke dispenser in my house I'd be dead in a week. I could probably drink three gallons a day if I had unlimited access. It's my addiction for sure.

So I'd say giving up coffee is pretty easy.

I agree with this, but I think typically as you get older you like soda less. I know in college I almost never drank coffee, but soda holy shit if I didn't have that in my 20's. Now in my 30's I'll have 1 maybe 2 sodas a week. Plus being a new parent, coffee isn't even an option.

could give up both. only recently started trying coffee. still not sure i like it. as for soda, can only stand diet as the rest is to sweet. moving to water. healthier anyway.

and yes, i can imagine a sweet juicy burger without soda. i drink it with orange juice.

The only way coffee is remotely drinkable is when there's so much milk and sugar in it that I don't taste the coffee anymore. Soda I like, so coffee is the easy choice for me. I don't even have that at home, nor a coffee machine. I can always get one if I get visitors who 'need' their coffee shot and whom I like enough to care. When my mom visits I borrow a coffee machine from family, others can drink tea, juice or soda (or water) if they drop by.

I'll give up coffee - I can't remember the last time I had a cup. I do like the flavor though.

I don't drink either on a regular basis, but I do occasionally get a hankering for one or the other. I'll also drink soda when out to lunch/dinner and coffee when out for breakfast.
If I had to give up one it'd be coffee.

Id give up soda before coffee. Coffee makes me happier when i smell and taste it. Plus its better for you..than soda that is :p

It's actually a tough call for me but I chose coffee.

I don't drink either regularly and I love Sunday morning coffee, but I like being able to have a soda with a meal or snack more.

I haven't drank soda in like 4 years as it is.

I originally cut it out of my diet when I was trying to lose weight... now, I've gone so long without it that the carbonation feels wretched to me.

I drink both but actually want to give up soda but have no desires to give up coffee.

So give up soda it is.

Just curious. What does being a parent have to do with no coffee?
