I've seen some on the forum talk as if RR is the worst service around. I'm very happy with it.

You have to admit:
RoadRunner may be part of the evil AOL empire and their customer service blows. But based on my own connection speed and others I've seen around the country, their system is pretty damn good.

Just my .02

People have been bashing RR? I thought it was @home and the other providers.

RR seems to be working fine for me.

RoadRunner has always been great for me and I have had no problems with their customer service or tech support.

A problem I've had when installing it in a bunch of homes is that they NEVER initialize the modem. I'll then call them and ask them to initialize it and they take me through all the BS of releasing/renewing IP etc and after about 10 minutes of this, they say "I don't think the modem is initialized". No sh!t. I said that 10 minutes ago! I guess in their defense, they are used to total morons calling.

The billing department is pretty bad too. But that is just something ALL cable companies have in common.

Even taking this into account....... once you have it going, it's pretty damn good (at least the systems I've seen).
