What a deal: Outdated Bomarc Missels for the Arrow.

Diefenbaker was after the Prairie Conservative vote and sacrificed Canada's Avionics future.

Personally, I'm kinda of happy to have the Trump's US embargo Canadian Softwood Lumber, Dairy products, Fish, Metals, Crude Oil , Hydro and our land ...etc under NAFTA. May be Canadian's will reconcile lower Taxes for the sake of Nationalism and cheaper comedies, Gov't subsidized or not.

The US has been reaping our Country far too long.

This trade war over soft wood has been going on for decades. Nothing new here. Trump is only using it to his advantage by pointing it out.

American lumber producers believe Canada is unfairly subsidizing its lumber industry by selling timber from its vast public forests to Canadian producers at a very low price. If the government auctioned its timber at market rates, it would cost sawmills more money, and therefore even out the playing field. In the United States, the right to harvest timber on public lands is sold to the highest bidder.

The lumber dispute has easily become the thorniest trade issue between the United States and Canada, and many economists believe it goes back to the colonial era.

It really started to heat up, though, in 1982, when the American lumber industry first asked the Department of Commerce to take action against Canadian sawmills.

Canadians pay something like $80 for a 4x8 sheet of 1/2" Fir Plywood, a Canadian product, where as Americans pay $30 for it, mainly because of the US Free Trade NAFTA agreement Vs Canadian Taxes to subsidize NAFTA and that includes the exorbitant cost of a one way Postal Service.

Meaning Canadians pay $50 more for the same Canadian Product so that Americans can purchase the same for $30 less - Yet we pay almost 100 percent more for American Products = WTF!

Screw NAFTA - I'm all for Trump on NAFTA CRAP - It has to be Re-Negotiated to better both partners.

Canadians are the most highest Taxed People on Earth - Other then legalizing Pot we should consider decriminalizing Opioid s (Meth, Cocaine, Heroin, Fentanyl, Carfentanil ...etc) just as Portugal did to save costs on their National Health plan and end the War on Drugs thereby saving lives rather then the cost of imprisoning victims.

I see no better solution for a Health Care plan which prescribes Clinical Opioid's such as Heroin verses the cost of the War on Drugs.
