So the Bravo network has this upcoming show entitled..."Great Things About Being Fat"

Yeah lets embrace this epidemic that is sweeping the nation with a show celebrating it and making obese people feel that is is okay to be disgustingly out of shape.....sigh.

EDIT:For clariity, I would like to say that I understand that some folks have legitimate medical conditons which cause them to be overweight. I am talking about people that are obese simply because they are lazy or unwilling to do something about it.

I would really like to know what good things come from being fat...

Less likely to be raped?
Ummm.....larger size (bigger = better?)
???

i can't wait till thursday or fridays "good thing about being ina red state." since i cannot think of a single thing, cept maybe for sexual incest with your siblings, i'll be waiting for that one.

Warmer in the winter with less clothes?

Most overweight people have bad circulation, which leads to them actually being colder in winter. They end up wearing more clothes than an average, fit person.

Why do you guys care so much about other people being fat?

WHO GIVES A SH!T?

Worry about your own damn ass size. Don't worry about fat ted's down the street...unless you swing that way. :lips:

take a look at that article and come back again. overweight people are like smokers, they are driving the health insurance cost higher.

Heavier breathing from carrying all the extra weight therefore more likely to be offered the phone sex operator job?

So?...join an insurance company that charges higher rates for fat people so you don't get hit.

Less likely to see the end of society as we know it due to being fat usually equals high cholesterol levels, heart problems etc.
More value for the dollar at the buffet
2 to 4 hours a week saved by not going to the gym and in the supermarket not having to read labels.
For women, less likely to have annoying men hit on you.

Sure there are great things about being fat. At least until your doctor tells you, diet or die.

Interesting... Since obesity is a "disease" I wonder how people would feel about doing a "great things about having AIDS".
