I have the absolute worst luck with MP3 players. They just die on me. And not like I drop them and they break - they just stop working out of the blue. I mean I even bought a protective sleeve for my iPod (just under 3 weeks old) - all of a sudden it stopped working.

One second it was sitting on the desk, with battery full indicator and the next second I'm pressing play button and nothing happens 🙁
 
it's because you're a Yankee fan... obviously.

I'm a Met fan and my mp3 player has been awesome for me. See ?
 
My mom has that type of problem with watches. Suddenly after wearing them for a couple weeks, they just stop working. So, she doesn't wear watches anymore.

they arnt issue free, they are suseptable to the same headphone jack issue that the creative zen xtras suffered from

Were they all ipods? If so, then you clearly are too dumb to learn your lesson on what to buy from...
