I wish Steam would go out of business. They suck....of course, I'm still mad that I couldn't upgrade my CS game because of their sucky server.

Yeah that is kinda insulting.... like when I tracked down and investigated the bastard who crashed into my car and ran from the scene.... so after I was all done and handed all the info to the insurance company. They sent me a letter stating "we have concluded our investigation into your claim". I called em up and told them, they should have changed it to "You have concluded our investigation into your claim".

Shouldn't it rather say "Steam has failed to connect to whatever server" because the responsible party could be a TCP/IP problem, NIC driver problem, networking/dialup cable connected to proper cable/dsl modem or phone jack problem, ISP routing problem, internet backbone problem, a problem with the physical connection from the ISP that those servers use, or a TCP/IP/NIC/whatever problem on the servers themselves? I don't think it's "their" fault because "they" are all either fixing bugs, banning cheaters, or sitting back and raking in the money.

i don't know a single person that has ever connected to the friends network. if there is i would like to meet them.
i think steam gave up on the whole thing. maybe one day they will have an update to remove it completely.

You can't blame objects, you never saw a computer standing trial did you?

If a computer part fails it is the CAUSE of the failure, the failure ends up to the human who is responsible to fix the cause of the error.

There's all kinds of computer programs out there that work flawlessly every day for many but result in all kinds of problems for other people. If they *can* work flawlessly every time for someone, the programmers obviously did something right. Those who see problems with that software don't need to point fingers at the programmers because the programmers didn't make one version that works and one version that doesn't.

Software isn't flawless and things get screwed up all the time without human intervention.
