you ever touch metal with a cut on your hand and get a shock?

In my bathroom at home we have those faux-metal rings surrounding the knobs. In case you don't know what I'm referring to, between the wall and the knob for the hot/cold water, there are coated plastic rings, I guess for decorative purposes. I think they might be metal-coated or something. Anyway, I have noticed that if I have a cut on my hand, or even just a small section where the epidermis is torn away, and that part of my hand brshes against the rings, I feel an intense pain. It's not like an electrical shock, although that's the closest I can come to describing it. It's weird as hell, and I as wondering if anyone else knows what I'm talking about.

I dunno, but when I was trying to move the actual metal part on some RG6 coax, I got a nice little buzz feeling in my thumb for the next 5 hours. I never knew a cable signal was an electrical current. I guess I didn't really know what it was.
